During the Assembly we had an Irish dance, read poems and jokes and found lucky shamrocks.
St. Patrick's Day is celebrated each year on March 17th to honor the patron of Ireland, Saint Patrick. In Ireland on St. Patrick's Day, people traditionally wear a small bunch of shamrocks on their jackets or caps and many cities have a St. Patrick's Day parade. Dublin,the capital of Ireland has a huge festival from March 15-19.
If you want to be lucky on St. Patrick's Day follow this advice:
1. Find a four leaf clover.
2. Wear green (so you don't get pinched)
3. Catch a leprechaun if you can. |
