People who help us During their PSHE lessons in the spring term, the children in form 1 studied the topic `People who Help us'. During their PHSCE lessons in the spring term, the children in form 1 studied the topic `People who Help us'. They learnt about the equipment needed and used by the emergency services; in particular `The Local Police'. They then wrote questions which they wanted to ask the police in more detail. So, CLIB invited our local policemen to talk to the children and give them a demonstration during our assembly on Friday 27th March. The children had so much fun; lots of policemen came and they even brought a couple of friends with them- the police dogs! The dog handlers gave the children a demonstration of how well trained the police dogs were at listening and following orders by their handlers and catching the bad guys! The children were then allowed to sit inside a police car and climb onto the police motorbike, rev its engine, flash its lights and turn on the siren! CLIB would like to say a huge `Thank you' to all the police involved- You were not only very informative but patient, helpful, friendly and fun! Back
