The school was visited by Maria do Céu Nogueira, a local writer from Braga, who recounted stories, in a motivating manner, that she authored to our students in the Lower School.
Our students in Forms 4 to 9 were also privileged to be visited by the writer and illustrator, Pedro Seromenho, who in a very interactive manner described the creative process of a writer, leaving the students very excited about writing.
During this week the school opened its doors to parents of students in the Lower School as they were invited to come and share a story promoting the interaction of all parties in the teaching and learning process.
Finally, we held a Writing Competition incorporating both Portuguese and English as well as different themes from poetry, fiction and discursive writing. This competition was characterised by intense participation, revealing the expressive and creative talents of students at CLIB. The winners of this competition were Cameron Beck, Carlos Albuquerque, Devin Beck, Ellie Clark, Filinto Costa, José Pedro Mesquita, Maria Beatriz Borges, Maria João Brito who all received a book as a prize.
