| The 2008 edition proved to be our most successful to date. Our congratulations are extended to all participants, of whom there are too many to list individually. The songs, dance and gymnastic performances brought to us by all classes from Nursery to Form 9 were met with rapturous applause despite the near debilitating heat and praise and thanks is extended to all students and teachers. The traditional stalls with games and arts and crafts were a huge success, with games ranging from the tin can alley to the treasure island. It was fantastic to observe students of all ages involved in running the stalls and it was clear for all to see that the efforts put in to them were appreciated by everyone in attendance. A party is not a party without good food and drink and this was available in huge quantities thanks to the generosity of all members of the school community who donated such vast quantities and variety. The BBQ was manned by parents and staff and we are sure the extra special flavours achieved must surely have been as a consequence of this spontaneous cooperation. The Summer Fête 2008 will go down on record as a huge success and is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when we all work together.
