Thus far this year most students have worked to the best of their abilities. That is, in itself, worthy of praise and justifies public acknowledgement. Teachers have opened the right doors and students have willingly walked through them into a world of widespread knowledge. The constant attempt to furnish our students with fundamental skills such as independent thinking and autonomous capacity to solve real problems is and will always be one of the main goals in our school.
The awards ceremony is a form of positive reinforcement that is crucial for the enhancement of these skills due to motivation factors. Students may achieve progress awards depending on their progression from mark order 1 to mark order 2 and are awarded bronze, silver and gold certificates of achievement, as well as certificates of excellence, depending on their grades in relation to whole form classes. Regarding the latter, the following students achieved a status of excellence: Sofia Teles, Francisca Sousa, Beatriz Borges, Alexandre Peixoto, Filinto Costa, Inês Pimentel and Daniela Muon.
