The games the students will play are reconstructed from broken pieces found during archaeological excavations coupled with knowledge of this period in time. Students throughout the local community will participate in this tournament benefiting most from what is clearly a significant piece of local and national heritage.
On the 6th of March, our students took the opportunity to participate in a workshop about the rules of the games. This was dynamic and motivational, allowing the students to appreciate the innate historical and mathematical nature intrinsic to this activity.
The alliance of History and Mathematics creates intellectually stimulating moments of healthy fun!
