Internal Model United Nations- BRAMUN
The Internal BRAMUN was, once again, a massive success. Our students are becoming experts in this celebrated academic activity.
The skills they develop are extremely important for their future lives. Indeed,United Nations Models are probably the best vehicle for imparting essential knowledge and skills to young people all over the world. This years internal BRAMUN was particularly impressive in the number of students which it gathered, the seriousness of its deliberations, the issues in debate and the professional character of its organisation.

Here is the approved resolution:

Submitter: Greece Co-submitters: Ireland, Germany, France, Finland, Israel and Norway Calls upon all member states to come to an agreement on more ecological means of dealing with all forms of industrial waste and suggests that countries which pollute the oceans are severely fined; Submitter: Mexico Co-submitters: Israel, Jamaica, Peru, Costa Rica, China and Brazil Strongly urges all developed countries that are not affected by the H1N1 virus to help Mexico and all countries affected by contributing with medical care and further research in order to reduce and hopefully eliminate this pandemic; Submitter: Japan Co-submitters: Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Syria, Israel, Mexico and Jamaica Encourages all nations to allow migrant workers into their countries as they can help develop member states and provide an alternative source of labour; Submitter: USA Co-submitters: Peru, Greece, France, Argentina, Australia and Jamaica Asks Middle East countries to contribute with counter-terrorism, so that terrorist groups are defeated in order to develop the economy and to rebuild nations that were affected by terrorism; Submitter: Somalia Co-submitters: Kazakhstan, France, Sweden, Portugal, Germany and Syria Urges all members states to provide funds to Somalia in order to combat the growing crisis concerning the pirate attacks in the Gulf of Aden; Submitter: Japan Co-submitters: Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, Sweden, USA and Portugal Urges all nations to abolish child labour as this is violating Human Rights as well as affecting the educational development of such countries; Submitter: Sudan Co-submitters: North Korea, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, China, Tunisia and Iraq Calls for all NGO's and United Nations Peace-keeping forces to leave Darfur as the government of this country has the capacity to deal with the current humanitarian crisis; Submitter: Jordan Co-submitters: Jamaica, Mauritania, Somalia, Tunisia, Sudan and Japan Invites developed nations to financially help less economically developed countries so that the conditions in their refugee camps can be improved such as: a) efficient drinking water supply; b) at least one hospital set up by the red cross; c) cleaning facilities such as taps and showers; Submitter: Portugal Co-submitters: Kazakhstan, United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, Somalia and Canada Condemns the legality of the act known as euthanasia and urges member states to illegalise the named practice; Submitter: Iraq Co-submitters: France, Japan, Chile, Canada, Portugal and North Korea Strongly urges all nations to recognise the rights of women as stated in the universal declaration of human rights and further requests education to be state-financed and compulsory for both sexes up to 14 years of age; Submitter: Jamaica Co-submitters: Finland, Uganda, Philippines, UK, USA and Mexico Urges North Korea to comply with resolution 1718, signed in 2006, which forbids North Korea from carrying out nuclear tests and further declares that it must dismantle all nuclear weapons or severe measures will be taken against this country. Submitter: Kazakhstan Co-submitters: Germany, France, USA, Portugal, UK and Australia Strongly condemns China for all the innocent killings that have taken place in Tibet's territory and demands that Tibet is given back to its native people.
